Finding myself.

Oh hi everyone! It's been quite a while since my last entry and yes, I think it's beginning to be a habit of mine to start a blog and eventually forget that I have one. :p

I wanted to tell everyone the true story why I kind of shut the world down for the past 3 months but I think I'm just not ready to admit it to myself yet. All I can say is I have been through hell and still finding my way back. But I'm getting there.

But nevertheless, no matter how tough it is that you're going through, ALWAYS look your best! cause you'll never know when you'll bump into the man of your dreams. Right? :)

Here's a compilation of my photos for the past few months. Credits to my Instagram account.

Sometimes all you have to do is forget what you feel and remember what you deserve.

Twinkle Toes

Hello fellow bloggers, I want to share this night I had with my lovely sister. One of the things I miss the MOST about being in Singapore is having dates with my sister! Her name's Aiza Minelle but nickname is "Ice" and I miss her to bits! Whenever she gets her day off from work, we'd always spend the day outside just talking and non-stop walking around the city.

This day we went to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. My sister has this habit of taking photos of our feet whenever we see a landmark of a place we've been to and she adds it up to her photo album which she named "Happy Feet". It's a really cool and interesting thing to do specially if you love to travel or a wanderlust like her.

Now this is a very, how can I describe this, unique and modern coffee shop where we had our dinner. It's called the TCC "The Connoiseur Concerto".

TCC actually stands for a lot of things. I thought some of them are cute and witty! Just wanted to share that. Hihi :)

Got hungry? haha Believe me, it even tastes better than it looks!! So really good! Okay nuff about that, cause it makes me crave for it now. Here's our outfits that night. Yes, "our" outfits! I'll post my sister's look as well just cause it's blog worthy! haha

First of all, sorry for the over-exposed picture (right one).
I decided to be simple and casual that night. One of my lazy outfits indeed. I wore a long sleeved yellow blouse with white lace collars and paired it with white jeans. My brown satchel bag matches perfectly with my brown leather oxfords with gold sparkles, I personally named it "twinkle toes" hence the title post. :)

I think I look better with my eyeglasses off but I really love wearing them because it makes me see better! What do you think? A bit geekish, I must say, but I'm not a bookworm. I don't read novels, I read textbooks, medical textbooks to be exact.

SO, are you ready to meet my older sister? She's really way more beautiful than me, way more intelligent than me, and way more richer!! hahahaha She inspires me! She's my very first fashion icon! Hihi

Isn't she pretty? :) I kind of helped her pick out what to wear. We both agreed on this black jumpsuit with leopard collars. Put on a black ribbon belt with gold outline to add shape and lastly, her jelly ribbon heels.

Hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I had fun reminiscing this night. Thank you for reading! Have a wonderful day!

All "plum"ed up!

I'm sure I've lost lots of readers because of my unavailability and most specially lack of posts and updates. Truly sorry about that but I just can't seem to find time to blog until now.

Today since I got nothing to do and I finally got a hold of my own laptop (which I haven't for months) I can finally post one of my ootds when I was still in Singapore.

It was a sunny yet breezy day in the beautiful streets of Orchard. As much as I love this place, I am totally inlove with my black peplum blazer! I think it's best if you're going for that feminine business casual look. Don't you think?

I  looove to play with my peplum tops like this! Hihi :)

I just wore a black lace top underneath it just to make a cute detail and paired it of with comfy jeans. To finish the look off, I used my leopard print black sling bag which is now one of my favorite bags!  Since animal prints are so "in" nowadays, I thought it's a must have to every girl's closet.

So, what do you think? I'd love to read some comments or suggestions about my look!

Thanks for reading!! Have an awesome day fellow bloggers!

See you soon, Philippines! Hello, Singapore!

It has been almost a month, i think, when I last posted here. I'm sorry about that. I got so busy about getting my license, arranging important papers and documents, meeting up with my best friends and just trying to sink it all in my system that I'm leaving home to go to Singapore and try my luck there.

Yes, I am now living in Singapore with my sister and her boyfriend. Looking for a job! Anyone reading this who lives in SG, you guys might want to help me get one? It would be so kind if you do. :) And plus, I'm also hoping I get to find new friends as well with same interests as mine and maybe hang out sometime! That would be fun!

Anyway, this is what I wore the day I left my fave country in the world, the Philippines. (ehem, nationalistic much? hihi )

I decided to wear something breezy because I knew it would be a sunny day in Singapore. I'm a big, big fan of laces! It just gives me that old, classy, feminine vibe. I got this lace top from Forever 21 for a very cheap price, only P600! Then I paired it with my newest favorite, my floral printed jeans! Don't you think it's very pretty? I was love strucked when I saw this and immediately bought it! Floral prints are really trendy and I think you can style it in so many ways. You can dress it up or down depending on your mood so it's really a must have and an awesome piece to have!

Just before I left, I bought a new pair of heels. It's actually a jelly heels (that's what I call it). It's incredibly comfortable compared to other heels. I can wear them for hours and have no blisters at the end of the day! Good stuff huh? I recommend wearing this if you wanna go out and have a long walk or trip outside. It's very stylish and comfy! You'll love it! Got this one from a bazaar, so it's very cheap as well.

Since I'll always be miles apart from my boyfriend, I decided to always wear this personalized "himig" bracelet. So I'd always feel like his there holding my hand wherever I go..

So that's about my outfit that day. What do you think? I would love to know your opinions so hit that comment button dear reader. And btw, thanks a lot for reading my post! Have a great day!

Sending my online hugs and kisses to you,

Pocket full of Sunshine

I was surprised today because I got another award from a very dear blogger Oanh Le!
Do check out her blog! I assure you'll love her outfit posts just as much as I do.

She's really a sweetheart for always reading and leaving a comment on some of my posts. I really appreciate this nomination because I've only began blogging a week ago and the warm welcome and awesome awards I'm receiving from all of you are so overwhelming.

 "Sunshine Award"

Kind of an awesome award, right? I am just so humbled to see that this award is given to bloggers who positively and creatively inspire others! :) This made my day!

Questions:
1.What would you most like to change about yourself?
--  Hmm, tough one! I have so many imperfections that I would love to change but probably my "laziness" is the one thing I would most likely want to change.

2. What is your theme song?
--  I don't really have that one particular theme song but I am currently addicted to "Tied Together with a Smile" by Taylor Swift.

3.One part of your life memory, action, etc. that you wish you could surgically remove from your brain?
--  Surgically remove? Wow, is there a thing like that? Anyway, I don't want any alteration on my memories. I am who I am because of everything I've been through. I know it may sound cliche but it's true! I believe everything happens for a reason and I love my "present" life. I literally could not wish for more. :)

4. What generation do you wish you had been apart of?
--  I love my own but if I could experience living during Shakespeare's time, I would be the happiest kid ever!  I'm a very romantic person and I just love wearing their clothes on a daily basis and learning how to speak Old English is just lovely.

5. What was your favorite childhood toy?
--  I believe I don't have a favorite toy because I love playing with our dogs more than playing with my toys. :)

6.What's your favorite housecleaning chore?
--  Mopping the floor! Haha! It's really weird but I do it all the time even if I just did it a few minutes ago.

7. Do you Tweet?
--  Yes, it's connected to my Instagram.

8. Any goals?
--  Right now, I just wanna have a job that suits my skills.

9. Do you really drink margaritas all the time?
-- Believe it or not, I'm sober since birth.

10. What is the ugliest car you've ever driven and were embarrassed to be seen in?
-- I only drive our family car, and for me, it's not that bad. I love driving but if I can have my own car I would definitely have the newest Volkswagen (yellow) or a Mini Cooper or that yellow Porsche race car! *wishful thinking*

My nominees:

I think these people deserves this award as well!
I hope you liked this post. Have a great day dear readers!

Too School for Cool

I love wearing school uniforms! Probably because of the pleated skirts and girly bows. Ever since I graduated, I miss wearing my old uniform. This outfit is inspired by that thought, so I went for the "school girl" look.

I got my white long sleeved sheer top with collars at a thrift store. It's actually still in good condition and got it in a very cheap price, only P50.00 (or almost 2USD). I paired it with a sheer polka dot navy blue pleated skirt I bought from Forever 21. I just love how the details of my top match my skirt.

Cute light blue satchel bag from Cole Vintage.

I'm more of a "flats" person than heels. One of my absolute favorites is this yellow doll shoes with cute little bows. This one I got from a bazaar again, talk about awesome cheap finds.

So that's about my look today. Hope you liked it just as much as I do.
I would love to know what you think so hit that comment button!

Chic Friday!

So when I started my blog, besides putting up my outfits here I was thinking of giving awards and feature other blogs that I love as well. Today is the very first "Chic Friday" post! Every friday I will look for my fave chic look of the day from one of my dear followers. And today's chic look is from my very first follower, Seoul & Pfassion.

I just loved this effortlessly chic, casual look!
Her sheer, skull printed top with very cute low collar is just irresistably gorgeous! Paired with this brown loose shorts with a woven belt made this look more unique. Lastly, don't you just love her heels? It looks very classy and and comfy too!

Definitely chic!
So here's your award from me dear, hope you'll like it.

Registered Nurse

Sorry if this post will not be about fashion. This post will be about me and the happiest day of my life!

Last June 30 and July 1, I had the most important examination of my life, the Philippine Nursing Licensure Exam PNLE. It's the board exam for nursing graduates. Every graduate has to pass the said exam before we can actually work as nurses.

36 working days after our exam, the results are finally out! It was unexpectedsince there really was no exact date as to when the results will be released. I was browsing and reading other blogs when I got a text message from one of my college bestfriends saying "Congrats Pepsi, 100% tayo!", it means everyone from our college who took the exam, passed! Our whole batch, every one from my class, every one I know passed the exam as well! I was shocked and my hands were literally shaking when I was trying to text back. All I can ever think of at that time was "Thank you Lord!" over and over again. Nothing will ever beat that feeling! Indeed, this is the happiest day of my life so far! All my hard work for four years finally paid off! Plus, not one of our batchmates failed, so we're all very thankful and happy that no one got left behind.

This is the list of the Top Ten performing schools in the PNLE and I am very proud that my school, Chinese General Hospital College of Nursing and Liberal Arts, was on top of the list with a 100% passing rate!

Now this is the list of the Topnotchers of the exam, I may not be on the list but I'm very proud that my friends are! They're one of the 6th and 7th topnotchers!

Our batch, called the Supremo Leons are all Registered Nurses now. We truly have made our mark! I could not ask for more than this. I am beyond thankful!

My awesome parents!

2 of my highschool bestfriends

My college best friends!

Thank you for reading! I added some photos from my Graduation so you'll see what I wore that day.
